one week later....

and little Dommie is still doing fine!!! It took him a few days to get back to 'regular Dommie status..." which in English means running around like a nut, playing with the kids, eating everything in site, and being my little shadow as soon as I get home from work! I almost feel badly because as I'm enjoying these 55 degree nights... little guy is shivering underneath the covers!!!

Speaking of babes- little Katie will be 6 months old on Friday!!! Where does the time go, really??? So Happy Birthday little Kate... you're a whole 1/2 a year old! *L*

I haven't gotten much done in the way of scrapping recently- I did a few layouts over the weekend and am in this perpetual cleaning mode- just trying to get things where I want them and able to scrap... without buying more stuff!!! My scrap pile has overfloweth as well- and I've been cutting them down into card scraps since I never seem to use them on any other layouts. So now I have a good 1/2 of a rubbermaid shoe tote filled up with card pieces! Going to have to get Mom to come over and make cards sometime to use 'em all up!!

She thought I was smart though- I've been playing with the Sheet Load of Cards blog and doing Christmas cards. On that site usually the cards make the 'face' of the card only and not the folded part of it- so when I need it I just pop it on the folded part of the card and 'wa-la' done card! And it's nice cause it doesn't take up so much space! :)

Oh! And some of the most exciting news- our little boy rode on the dirtbike track for the first time this week! Ry would like to see him race on Friday- but we'll see. He's just too cute- here's a pic for you to see!!

My Ryan faithfully running after the little guy just in case- but he's a champ.. or a "rockstar" as Ry says. *L* He only ran after him a few times around the track just to make sure he had the hang of it... but our boy is a shining star. ;) He was hurtin' when we got home the other night, just sore from riding for 4 or 5 hours. But the next morning was ready to go again, so we'll see where this takes us!!!

Well, that's about it for now. I'm going to get back to work here and try to get something accomplished. Man it feels like a friday.... :P

Quickie update!

Just wanted to tell you all - Dommie is doing fine! They started to do surgery on him yesterday about 2pm but instead of the resistance they got on Saturday the cath went all the way in! They drained his bladder, put air in it, took another exray and found.... nothing! So we're thinking the first cath broke up the stone! All is looking good - my poor pup came home and slept most of the evening... and was peeing like a champ this morning. ;) Not 100% but lots better than before and without the "MooooooooooooooooooooooM!" look!!

Today is another 'down' day here- I ended up playing Pogo alot last night with Dommie at my feel and then laying in bed talking to a friend while I cut some scrap papers for cards. My acrylic wall hanging is still sitting on my desk... but I'm getting there. ;) maybe tonight......

Also today I've just realized that the October scrappin' retreat is in no time at all!!! Like 2 months and 2 weeks. I know it's a little to soon to start planning- but it's always something fun to look forward to! :)

Happy Monday!

Usually don't hear those two things together, do you?! Well, I got a great sleep last night and was up all crazy early and couldn't figure out why.... yeah well... 9 pm bed times will do that to ya. ;) But as always when I wake up and sit around I wasn't quite ready to come to work when the time came. But I did it! Got here a few minutes late but here none the less. *L*

My bad news from the weekend is my puppy Dommie is sick. (ok, he's not quite so puppy/baby- but the youngest therefore is keeping the title!) After a vet appt on Saturday we're being told they think it's kidney stones. :( And told us that those are prone in Dalmations- which I didn't know. So he's back at the vet again today to see if they can help him out- after the few days of meds he seems like he's doing a bit better, so keep your fingers crossed for my pup please!!

Also I wanted to share a picture that I took of Ry. I love this picture- I dare say it's one of my favorites and I think we're going to frame it for our picture wall. :) (ok, I don't HAVE a pictures wall yet. But it looks REALLY good in my mind... I'm getting there. Really. :P

Isn't he cute? :) Just makes my heart melt!!!

What doesn't make my heart melt is the big hole in the side of my house... but he's working on it and it's ok, right? ;)

Well, that's about it for the moment. Going to run and get some work done here. Enjoy your week!!!

Another week gone by!

I can't say this week flew, but it's going. :) Finally friday here and I'm so happy that I can veg out most of this weekend! Ry's dad is in from Vegas so I'm sure we'll be having a get together at our place sometime this weekend. (But for now I can have bliss in my 'no plans' weekend! *L*) Especially since my BP has been high for the last part of this week and I really need some down time!

I'm thinking of going to see Wall E this weekend at some point- I hear it's just the cutest movie and it's playing with Mamma Mia at the drive in for this week... so we shall see. :) And I'll mention that it's not going to be so crazy hot here this weekend- high in the high 70's/ low 80's (so Ry's dad will be FREEZING, but I'm happy with this weather! ;) And overnights it's high 60's- so it's PERFECT sleeping weather!

I'd also like to hit a few yard sales... so we'll see how that works out for me. ;)

Scrapping plans? Not so many here. I've been making lots of cards and trying to get one together for a contest. First contest that I've done in awhile since when I start doing them I kinda get overtaken with them. Scrapbooking to get published is just a bad bad thing in my mind, let's say it that way. I've tried twice SO very hard to get published and get so caught up with having to buy the brand new- just out products to use them to be able to submit. Then I don't get picked up, and I get discouraged... and then I don't want to scrap anymore. (as crazy as this all sounds I swear it's true and there has to be someone out there who feels the same! *L* ) So I decide to pull out my old stuff and play with it, get back into the groove and enjoy my arty process instead of trying to see my layout in print. Beside, it's more fun to see the kids look thru their pictures and say "HEY that's ME!" than anything... but I digress.

The only other thing I'd love to do is get up to Chris' house and help her start reorganizing her new scrapping room. :) My idea of fun is just so twisted. *ROFL*

Ok, going to get back to work here and enjoy my last hour and a half of work for the week! :) Enjoy your weekend!!!!!

Headin' into another weekend!

The sad part is it is HOT and miserable here in PA. I can do without these 90 degree days, lemme tell you. (Specially since the cars don't have AC in them. I'm getting to be such a wuss in my old age! ;)

I haven't decided everything that I'd like to do this weekend, but I have a mental list in my head. And that should count for something, right?? I think I want to take the kids to see Wall E- I've heard it's SO cute and usually I'm the first in line for Pixar movies- they're by far my favorite every time.

Aside from that I need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby- 1/2 off albums and page protectors! YAY! It's one of my favorite sales- the hour drive for 15 minutes of shopping stinks, but still. :) I'm thinking we can find something else fun to do while we're up there- especially since I still have shopping to do for the birthday parties this weekend. (REALLY not thinking I'm going to finish a 20 page 8 1/2 by 11 album by Saturday night, but one can dream right???? I've only got about 3 pages done so far and I started it late last night- but I'm kinda going all out too with the paint, acrylic letters, and embossing... so it should be interesting. :)

Oh, and grocery shopping. I think I need to feed the family. :)

Anyone else about in blogger land?? Need to see what everyone else is doing this weekend! TTYL!!!!

What a weekend. :)

Wow. That's all I can say!!! This whole thing started with a trip. Hubby and the kids headed south to visit family and I mentioned to my girlfriend that I'd be home alone. She was getting kid/hubby frustrated and I told her that the door was open wider than normal... and our weekend was born. ;)

I ended up taking thursday and friday off. Was just needing some down time and told Ry I was determined to get the house cleaned up. Got thru one room, threw away a dresser, and cleaned thru clothes. Got about 3 bags of garbage and 4 bags to donate to goodwill! It still needs work, but it's getting there! :)

Friday around 1pm she got to my house. We unpacked her truck and then headed out to get lunch. A trip to Lonestar, Ikea, Jo Anns and Target rounded that trip up and we went back home. After a few hours we decided to go out and do a few more things, that trip took us back to her childhood 'hood and we went to this strange place called Jim's for hotdogs. (interesting lemme tell you) That turned into a trip to Eat N Park to use the restroom, but almost didn't work so well. Apparently the Eat N Parks in the ghetto close early and the waitresses are mean when they're trying to get outta there. ;) Took the long way home thru South Side and then walked thru Station Square. We both felt pretty old with the 21 crowd that was out that night so.....

BACK home to get some scrapping done! We gave up at about 3am I believe. . .

(but I did get a few cards and LO's done!)

Saturday someone at my place slept until NOON. yes. NOON. (and it wasn't me *L*) When she FINALLY woke up (:P) we headed out to go to my family reunion. Saw the family for a bit after being scared by this freaking huge frog. (thing jumped on my foot and scared the hell outta me!) Then we went BACK to Target. After that excursion we came back, scrapped for awhile, and then went out to dinner and this great little chinese place thats near my house. They just opened and I was greatly surprised at how good the food was. Some place the family and I will go back to for sure!

Hit Pat Catans when that was over and came home to get MORE stuff done. We didn't go to bed until about 4 or 5 am that night so slept in on sunday until about 11.

Needless to say I'm totally exhausted! It was a kickass girlie weekend though! :) It has to last though, cause the next scrapping weekend isn't going to be until October!

So, the family will be home in the next day or so and I have to try and get things together for them to come home. Time to be an adult again I suppose. ;)

I even went as far as to make an appt at an ortho for my knee. I'm tired of the dumb things that wear me out- like after that little bit of walking we did on Friday ( I swear we drove more than we walked, but ya know...) I was done on Saturday night. Dumb thing hurt SO badly that I kept it up that night and most of Sunday.

So that's about all in this neck of the woods! Off to blog hop to see what my other friends are up to! ;)

Yikes!

Been totally not paying attention here- I can't believe it's been almost a month since I wrote! The last few weeks have been crazy busy at work, which is a good thing I guess. ;)

I'm super excited for the three day weekend, though! We're having a party for Christian on Saturday night- yup. at night. *L* Boy wants a bonfire so that's what he's getting! We'll be roasting marshmallows, doing the smore thing, and some hotdogs, too. Thinking of getting some burgers for the adults if that all works out right. I bought some watermellon last night since the kids LOVE that. We even have two ice cream cakes from Brusters to gobble up- so that means I don't need cake AND ice cream, right? :)

So, this "little party", as always, will turn into a full blown affair. Because even though I say "oh, it's late and I won't need to feed everyone- we'll all be hungry *L* But maybe I should just get a few pizzas, that might be easier. (But it IS 4th of July- and cookouts ARE the thing to do!) Oh well, we'll see. ;) (Love my ramblings, don't you? *L*)

Aside from that not much has been happening. Ryan and I went to a wedding on the 27th- it was a co-workers sons wedding that I helped photograph. Talk about a great time- the bridal party was so awesome as were the bride and groom. I got some great pictures and I know Tom did too! :)

Also Chris came down to visit twice! The kids really enjoy playing together so it works out nice. :)

Alright- getting to work here for the day and going to make my lists for the party this weekend. ;) TTYL!
