Friends. UPDATE your BLOGS! *L* That is what I do most days at work... browse blogs. And it's BORING if you never update yours. *ROFL* ;)
Anyways, not to much going on here today. I'm starting to feel the sick/ick setting in- my chest hurts and I keep coughing. Not happy 'bout this, lemme tell you! And of course it would happen on the weekend :(
Tomorrow I have a baby shower to go to and then a wedding in the evening. I REALLY hope I don't get worse for that because both Ryan and I are so looking forward to going. (The wedding is a friend from the Fire Dept.) I doubt I'll have any pictures to share, though, because my camera is dead. Something funky with the lens, kinda looks like you're playing with an infrared camera. Neat, but not the look I'm trying to go for here. *sigh* So, I pulled off all my pictures and am getting ready to send that back.
What else?? I wanna play with my stamps and scrapbook SO badly. Hopefully Sunday I can catch a break and play a bit. ;)
Anyways, going to get going here and see what else I can get done in 2 1/2 hours here ;)
Have a great weekend everyone!!

![]() You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind. A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable. You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out. Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia. Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in. You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. |
Start of the week...
It's been awhile since I posted, I know, but things have been crazy. (what else is new? *L*) We're getting a new roof put on our house, so that's been a constant. (a few days my big behind!) Well, it HAS been a few days of work but the weather hasn't been cooperating at ALL. They started last Monday- so it's been a week and we're keeping our fingers crossed that it'll be finished today because guess what? MORE rain/snow for the rest of the week!
Also, Monday I went to the doc for my 6 week checkup. Lookin' good here, lookin' good :) I've also dropped a bit more weight- I'm actually already below my pre pregnancy weight- and hoping it keeps coming off! *L*
On Saturday we headed off to the Harley Dealership in Washington for an Egg Hunt and to see Mr. Easter Bunny. The kids had a great time and we celebrated their good hunting with a trip to the Waffle House when it was over. After that we went to a scrapbook store that was closing in Wheeling. I got a few things, but everything was pretty picked over. (I really wanted to go sooner, but I didn't want to waste all the gas to go down there, ya know?) On the way home we hit Target to find that illusive Fiskars punch (no dice :( and then a quick trip to Sarris Candy in Cannonsburg. I went in to get ice cream, but once we got inside I just didn't feel like it anymore. We each got some candy and then headed home!
Sunday we went to church- I think it was the first time since Ry and I have been married that we went to church. My co-workers DH is a pastor and recently got hired at a local church- so we went to hear him preach. What a wonderful little church that they have! The congregation was just so sweet- and they were all oohhing and ahhing over the kids. Just too cute! The kids had sunday school while we attended church- and there was a baptisim during the service. Just a beautiful thing to see on such a beautiful day. :)
After church we stopped at the store for last minute things for Easter dinner that I had forgotten (silly things like butter, aluminum foil, ect. *L*) and came home to cook! We had ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese (REAL stuff people, not that crappy boxed stuff *L*), rolls, carrot cake and cupcakes. It was great to have the family over and the kids enjoyed recounting stories to my parents about their Easter. Speaking of which...
The cutest thing happened in the morning on Sunday. Cody snuck out to peek at the baskets while we were getting dressed for church, came back into our bedroom and sat the laundry basket with his head on his hands. Just looked so sad and dejected! I asked "what's wrong, buddy?" (because I hadn't paid any attention that he had gone out into the dining room) He says "I guess the Easter bunny didn't come yet" At this point I realize what's going on and trying REALLY hard not to laugh because he just looked so cute sitting there.
I said "well are the baskets there?"
He said "I didn't see them, I just looked from the kitchen"
And I say "But the baskets are gone, right? They're not on the table any more?"
I get another sad "no".
I recounter with "That SILLY BUNNY! I bet he HID your baskets!!!"
This gets him kinda excited, big smile and all, he yells for Ally and so we go hunting for them.
We head back out to see what we can see and there was a basket on the counter that the bunny had left some Peeps in. They just noticed that and got SUPER excited about it. (this whole thing was just so darned cute!) So we look in the living room, in the kitchen, in the bedrooms, etc. Finally Cody finds Ally's basket- hidden on top of the bunk beds in her room. So the hunt is on for his still... a few minutes later he finally finds it... in the bathtub! *L*
The whole episode was just too cute- the whole hiding baskets thing was a ton of fun- and I'm sure it'll be a repeat performance next year! :)
I think that's about it for now. Sorry not to post any pictures, but I left my camera cord at home! TTYL!!!

Here I am!
I love Thursdays- really. It's just the most laid back day- if you don't get things done today you have tomorrow to do them too, right? ;)
Nothing much going on here today. I have a pile of work to keep myself partially busy for the day and am trying to find tutorials online on how to really use my stamps. (since I have a gizillion of the things *L*) Now don't get me wrong, I have them, and use them, but I haven't ever colored them in all pretty or done the fancy things that you see sometimes. I CAN do it- just haven't learned how to yet. ;)
Anyways, no big plans for this weekend either. I'm hoping to get an album done for a gift because the baby show it's for is only next weekend. (nothing like waiting until the last minute, right? Now I do have to say that I have a 'plan' for it, so it should come together pretty easy and quickly!!!) I also have to go to my little brothers this weekend and 'lizard sit' while he changes out her cage stuff. So scrapping and playing with a lizard- that should be my weekend. *L*
So, going to go and get to work here for a bit. :) Have a great weekend and if you're in the area stay dry- sounds like it's raining outside. *L*

Another week is coming to a close!
I love it! Today has been crazy busy, one thing after another- just the way I like days to go. ;)
My toot of the day: The lottery calendars for the Fire Dept are DONE! YAY!!! I busted my butt this morning and got them all done and printed out- so we're all ready to sell them at our craft show this weekend! YAY!!! (again *L*)
I have a few more things on my list, and I have to make a grocery store list so that I can hit that on the way home- tonight will be filled w/baking stuff for the craft show that's tomorrow and cutting the tickets so that I can sell them, too. :) I'm thinking a chocolate sheet cake for the kitchen, and some cinnamon rolls, and I have to make Snickerdoodles is what I'm told. *L* So we'll see what I actually get done tonight!!!
Then after tomorrow I can rest. I can't wait for tomorrow night. *L* I won some great stamps on the Melissa Frances blog- use the links to the right here and go check her out! But I got them in the mail Wednesday and haven't had time to do more than just drool over them! There are like 13 sets- and they're SO cool- and along w/them I also got some acrylic blocks! I can't wait to play w/them and make some cards and stuff... just have to get some time! Let's not get into the other stuff I want to do- I have to get my badges in Pogo this week. *L* Priorities, priorities. *L*
Anyways, I'm going to get going here and finish up some things at work. And then get on to my next project! :)
If you're nearby enjoy the snow we're getting tonight and stay warm! :) Also, come up to Station 2 and see us tomorrow- the veggie soup we're making will hit the spot tomorrow for sure!!!
bye!!!!

Rain rain go away!
Well, actually- do NOT go away- because then you'll be snow. *L* It's raining like crazy here! I heard on the news that we were expecting up to 2 inches of RAIN. Wow. Can you imagine if that was snow? YUCK!
Not to much going on here today though- back to work finally and we had a lunch meeting today. :) Going out to lunch kinda killed the "Git'erdone" 'tude that I had this morning. I know it will probably sound strange to alot of people- but I LOVE being busy at work. The days that work is piled up high on my desk and I'm prioritizing things to get done? Those are the best ones!!!
I'm really hoping to go home tonight and scrapbook a bit. I had just sat down to start doing something yesterday and my little brother stopped over. (which was good for me because I got to clean out my fridge and get rid of all the leftovers that we're not eating! *L*)
And let me tell you- this darn intestinal virus is the WORST! I.really.really.really.hate.it. What's worse is that it just comes and gos as it feels the need- one day I'll be good as gold and the next you're back to feeling like hell. *sigh* Ryan and I just keep giving it back and forth I think... and it sucks. :( I was really hoping that the warm weather would help yesterday, but I stayed home from work and slept all morning, and then he slept all afternoon/evening. So nowhere/no time to actually enjoy the nice weather. Just crazy.
That's about it though. We had a great "Fiesta" on Sunday for DD's birthday. She enjoyed seeing the family, playing w/her cousins, and presents! What little person doesn't love presents? *L*
Well, I'm going to run for now and try to get some work together to take home. Bye! :)
