Newer pictures

Here are the newer pictures of the living room as of this morning! Drywalling about done, first coat of primer on most of the room. Dust everywhere. :) Please feel free to ignore the dirt, mess, and furballs that are in the pictures. *L* What a work in progress!!!

This picture is from the left side of the room looking toward the backyard.

This is from the right of the room looking toward the front of the house.

So I'm thinking I'd like to do a brown/blue color scheme in here, something different. You can see by the one wall that I started with the tan/neutral thing that I usually go toward. Trying to be a rebel and do something different in here. ;)

We have a cream colored/ off white tile for the dining room and we're leaning toward a short carpet for the living room. I'd like to have it all be the same but I don't want to tile the living room and the sliding door can't have carpet in front of it. It would get trashed SO quickly with the kids and dogs running in and out.

Thanks for looking!!! :)

Popping in to say hi!

Another day here in the burgh! Today has started off fun and I'm sure it'll end with a bang as well. (catching all that sarcasm that I'm throwing your way? *L*)

The weekend was fun although I didn't get nearly as many things done as I would have liked.

Saturday was spent running around in the AM and then going to a wedding in the evening. I never thought about how early we were going to have to leave in order to get there on time so needless to say we were actually the first ones there! (I lie- Mom of the groom was there with a few other family members- but it was funny that we were there so early!) It DID give me time to play with the camera a bit before anyone else got there. (My cake pictures are FABULOUS if I do say so myself. ;) The pictures OF the wedding left some things to be desired. But #1 I wasn't getting up during the ceremony, #2 speedlight isn't on the camera yet. That's on the "to be purchased" list. *L* So of the 20 I took a few came out nicely, but nothing that you can blow up to wall size. :) But lighting is always tricky in those types of places (banquet halls and such) and it was a rainy day so outside wasn't an option. But we got lots of pictures of the 'family' too- the whole office was there and a few of our field techs. Good times, good times. :)

Sunday I was completely wiped out from Saturday. *L* I was tired and lagging all day and really didn't do much other than clean up the house a bit, sort thru kids clothes, and things like that. It was great not to really have to get out of my jammies for most of the day. :) (Kids and I did run out and take a side trip to the hardware store and the dollar store!)

The living room still isn't finished yet... but we're getting closer! I really just have to pick paint and be done with it, but for some reason the getting a real color on the walls process is freaking me out!!!

So, I'm going to scour the internet for living room ideas and see what I can find. :) Later!!!

One week later....

What a week!!! It's amazing the things you can find out in a week and how things can change. *L* First of all I have some of the most amazing friends EVAH. If you read this you'll know who you are and why. :P

Second is that I almost have a living room again!!! YAY!!! Scott and Joe stopped over last night and helped Ry put up drywall, which was a HUGE help with Ry's arm. :) So Ry is going to finish running wires and hopefully do some mudding today! Here are some pictures from last night:

Now to pick paint and carpet.... :) I can't wait to have this finished!!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'll write more later!

Another day....

Wednesdays are so... yuck. I mean, the week is 1/2 over but really. I just realized that I hadn't posted in quite a few days and should get back on here and update. Nothing much has been going on ...

We've finished ripping up the living room floor and Ryan has it almost all the way re-framed and plastic down. We found water damage under the floor (keep telling him I had NO idea we had an ocean front home, but apparently all this time we did and just didn't know it) The living room has been getting a ton of water under it- hopefully the new gutter has fixed most it it... and what isn't being fixed by that is going to be fixed here shortly.

I've told him that I'm so finished with this room it isn't funny. Told him to make a list for Lowe's cause the next time we go back we're getting EVERYTHING we need to finish this room. From the rest of the plywood, to the drywall, to the paint and carpet. I just want to be done with it all.

I'm also trying to decide where I should put my scrapping stuff at. Should I continue to keep part of the living room or just give it back to the family and relocate back to the bedroom? Ryan thinks I have way to much stuff to do that and I think he just doesn't want to 'see' it. Which is where our problem will be since I'm a "need to see it to use it" kinda girl. ;) Plus I'm ready to get rid of the big flipping computer desk that we don't need and get a smaller one... and a desk for me to scrap at. Decisions decisions. ;) So I'm on the hunt and trying to figure out what I want in life... ain't that the way it always is? *L*

So needless to say there hasn't been ANY scrapping going on in my house. Not even card making which I HAVE to do... I HAVE to make a wedding card by next Saturday. I refuse to get a Hallmark card. Just not gonna do it! :P

What else is going on here??? Our baby started school... it's only preschool I know, but I still had that overwhelming feeling that I'm getting OLD... and I'm not sure that I like it. *L* So next year all the kids will be in school full time. Wow. just wow.

Ok, back to work. Hope whoever and whereever you're warm, dry, and happy. ;)

Man oh man....

What a long week!!! There's been SO much going on!!! Labor day weekend was spent at the hospital. Ryan got some sort of infection and after a quick ER visit on Saturday night we were back on Sunday for him to get admitted. He ended up staying and getting IV antibiotics for a few days and got released on Wednesday. Thursday was spent getting things back in order and pampering DH. ;)

Friday we dropped the kids at school and took a ride out to Rogers, Ohio. (Best flea market evah!) It was nice to get him out walking a lot and be out in the sunshine a bit. I found my very first vintage pyrex dish and got it for a song ($5!) So starts my newest addiction!!!

This isn't my dish but what it looks like:

Just a great piece and in WONDERFUL condition.... now I'll be surfing for pyrex all day. *L*

While looking around this AM I found this neat site: http://www.pyrexlove.com/

Yup.... this is going to be bad. ;) *L*

Ok, back to the stories.... On Saturday the kids and I hit a few yardsales in the morning, then we had to get home to get Cody ready for his big race!!! He doesn't like the big wait inbetween pracitce and then getting to race... but needless to say he won both of his races which made him undefeated for the season! :) (Ok, he raced two races for two different days, but still was undefeated. :P ) He got a little trophy for racing- I wish I had gotten a picture of his face when he got his trophy! *L* (Don't worry- I got pictures afterwards but they're at home!) Just too cute!! I'm sure he'll be back next year! :)

Sunday the guys went to Moon Twp. to go to the car cruise. Then we had dinner at Mom's house to celebrate my birthday- which I didn't know, but hey, such is life, right? *L* Kate made meatloaf, I made rigatoni, and mom made fixin's (mashed taters, salad, green beans, and corn) And of course we had birthday cake and ice cream at the end. ;)

And now we start a new week. Ry is home working on the floor- trying REALLY hard to get it done before snow starts flying. *L* The dining room should be done today and apparently I have to move my scrapping stuff out of the way so he can do the rest... just not looking forward to it at ALL!!!! :P

Ok, going to get some more work stuff done here- catch ya later! :)
