Another day....

Wednesdays are so... yuck. I mean, the week is 1/2 over but really. I just realized that I hadn't posted in quite a few days and should get back on here and update. Nothing much has been going on ...

We've finished ripping up the living room floor and Ryan has it almost all the way re-framed and plastic down. We found water damage under the floor (keep telling him I had NO idea we had an ocean front home, but apparently all this time we did and just didn't know it) The living room has been getting a ton of water under it- hopefully the new gutter has fixed most it it... and what isn't being fixed by that is going to be fixed here shortly.

I've told him that I'm so finished with this room it isn't funny. Told him to make a list for Lowe's cause the next time we go back we're getting EVERYTHING we need to finish this room. From the rest of the plywood, to the drywall, to the paint and carpet. I just want to be done with it all.

I'm also trying to decide where I should put my scrapping stuff at. Should I continue to keep part of the living room or just give it back to the family and relocate back to the bedroom? Ryan thinks I have way to much stuff to do that and I think he just doesn't want to 'see' it. Which is where our problem will be since I'm a "need to see it to use it" kinda girl. ;) Plus I'm ready to get rid of the big flipping computer desk that we don't need and get a smaller one... and a desk for me to scrap at. Decisions decisions. ;) So I'm on the hunt and trying to figure out what I want in life... ain't that the way it always is? *L*

So needless to say there hasn't been ANY scrapping going on in my house. Not even card making which I HAVE to do... I HAVE to make a wedding card by next Saturday. I refuse to get a Hallmark card. Just not gonna do it! :P

What else is going on here??? Our baby started school... it's only preschool I know, but I still had that overwhelming feeling that I'm getting OLD... and I'm not sure that I like it. *L* So next year all the kids will be in school full time. Wow. just wow.

Man oh man....

What a long week!!! There's been SO much going on!!! Labor day weekend was spent at the hospital. Ryan got some sort of infection and after a quick ER visit on Saturday night we were back on Sunday for him to get admitted. He ended up staying and getting IV antibiotics for a few days and got released on Wednesday. Thursday was spent getting things back in order and pampering DH. ;)





Friday we dropped the kids at school and took a ride out to Rogers, Ohio. (Best flea market evah!) It was nice to get him out walking a lot and be out in the sunshine a bit. I found my very first vintage pyrex dish and got it for a song ($5!) So starts my newest addiction!!!

Ok, back to the stories.... On Saturday the kids and I hit a few yardsales in the morning, then we had to get home to get Cody ready for his big race!!! He doesn't like the big wait inbetween pracitce and then getting to race... but needless to say he won both of his races which made him undefeated for the season! :) (Ok, he raced two races for two different days, but still was undefeated. :P ) He got a little trophy for racing- I wish I had gotten a picture of his face when he got his trophy! *L* (Don't worry- I got pictures afterwards but they're at home!) Just too cute!! I'm sure he'll be back next year! :)

Sunday the guys went to Moon Twp. to go to the car cruise. Then we had dinner at Mom's house to celebrate my birthday- which I didn't know, but hey, such is life, right? *L* Kate made meatloaf, I made rigatoni, and mom made fixin's (mashed taters, salad, green beans, and corn) And of course we had birthday cake and ice cream at the end. ;)

And now we start a new week. Ry is home working on the floor- trying REALLY hard to get it done before snow starts flying. *L* The dining room should be done today and apparently I have to move my scrapping stuff out of the way so he can do the rest... just not looking forward to it at ALL!!!! :P

I suck, I know....

I've been so flippin' busy at work that I haven't had a free moment to blog! Urg!!!

First and foremost the big news is that I'm going to be an Aunt again!!! My younger brother (the middle one) and his girlfriend are preggo! I believe I remember the due date is going to be in late March/early April. :) So congrats to them and everyone is so excited!!!

Kids started back to school- so far so good and everyone seems happy. :) I was a bit bitter at not being able to be there for thier first day- especially Cody's first day of Kindergarten. So I was uber biotchy that day. ;) Slowly getting over it but ya know.

Speaking of starting back to school guess who else is trying it?? me! I have one more class for my associates degree and I keep wondering why I just don't take it and get that darned piece of paper! So... I've filled out paper work, going thru the motions and I just have to register still. Class starts on Monday the 8th. :) Wish me luck!!!!

A few weeks ago I got to go and hang out with the guys while they did fire training. Played with the camera a bit and got a few really neat shots that I loved including this one:

As Ry says, "I only wish the hose was charged" Yeah- that would look even better, but I'd rather not ever be THAT close to the fire scene of a working structure fire. :P

My only other thought is that I'd love to have had a better camera to play with... but I guess you gotta take what you can get, right? :)

I just have to say I'm glad that I have to list "unspectacular quirks" cause I don't know that I have any spectacular ones! *L*

1. When I leave work every day my desk HAS to be clean. No papers strewn everywhere, things have to be clean, tidy, and in order.

2. Same thing w/my scrapping- I have to clean up after EVERY layout. I can NOT start another one with stuff strewn all over my desk!!!

3. I've been told (cause I NEVER noticed it before) that when I'm eating finger foods like sandwiches and stuff that I ALWAYS rip them apart before I eat them.

4. Same as Gwen- I HAVE to be covered when I'm sleeping... and I always sleep better when Domino is curled up next to me. :)

5. I have to visit Post Secret, Failblog, and see my LOL cats/dogs EVERY week. Sometimes multiple times a week. ;)

6. Last I can not go ONE week without taking a picture. If I do I will go into withdrawl and start shaking uncontrollably. Ok, not really, but it REALLY bugs me. *L*

Aren't Wednesdays wonderful?? The week is half over and you're just a tad closer to a wonderful weekend... and you get the kids cause the hubby is going to fire training or a meeting. *sigh* :P

But this Wednesday is special... know why??? The kids go back to school in ONE MORE WEEK! YAY!!! (And I'm not even the one that is home with them all day! *L*) I don't know what Ryan is going to do when they're all out of the house next week but I'm sure he's excited! ;)

I never checked back in last week but our little guy won his first race!!!! The first race was really close and the other kid didn't know what hit him- he took a wide turn and Cody went in for the kill... passed him on the inside and stayed in front for the rest of the race. :) The second race was kinda default- the other kid seemed to be trying too hard to beat our boy and fell twice. :( I felt really badly but all three of the kids did really well!!!

What else has been going on??? Sunday we had our company picnic at Idlewild. I love that place and the kids always have such a great time. I really didn't take any pictures because my buddy Chris and her family came too, so I let her be the photographer for the day. ;) So I haven't seen pictures yet but it'll be soon!

Last night was pretty cool, too. I mentioned something to Ry about we should go on a bike ride- he was pretty floored since we've never really ridden together. So he got a babysitter and we went on a bike ride with my parents! The plan was to go somewhere close and just a 'small' ride- but mom wanted to go to Ohio to get lottery tickets... so we went out to Calcutta and back home- about a 2 hour trip in all. Four words... my butt was SORE!!! *L* It's not so bad today but last night? wow. I felt like I had ridden horseback for hours! *L* (and by the way- the lottery thing? we didn't win a penny. *L*)

Well, that's enough for now I think- I had better get SOME work done today, right? ;) Later!!!

one week later....

and little Dommie is still doing fine!!! It took him a few days to get back to 'regular Dommie status..." which in English means running around like a nut, playing with the kids, eating everything in site, and being my little shadow as soon as I get home from work! I almost feel badly because as I'm enjoying these 55 degree nights... little guy is shivering underneath the covers!!!


Speaking of babes- little Katie will be 6 months old on Friday!!! Where does the time go, really??? So Happy Birthday little Kate... you're a whole 1/2 a year old! *L*


I haven't gotten much done in the way of scrapping recently- I did a few layouts over the weekend and am in this perpetual cleaning mode- just trying to get things where I want them and able to scrap... without buying more stuff!!! My scrap pile has overfloweth as well- and I've been cutting them down into card scraps since I never seem to use them on any other layouts. So now I have a good 1/2 of a rubbermaid shoe tote filled up with card pieces! Going to have to get Mom to come over and make cards sometime to use 'em all up!!


She thought I was smart though- I've been playing with the Sheet Load of Cards blog and doing Christmas cards. On that site usually the cards make the 'face' of the card only and not the folded part of it- so when I need it I just pop it on the folded part of the card and 'wa-la' done card! And it's nice cause it doesn't take up so much space! :)


Oh! And some of the most exciting news- our little boy rode on the dirtbike track for the first time this week! Ry would like to see him race on Friday- but we'll see. He's just too cute- here's a pic for you to see!!

My Ryan faithfully running after the little guy just in case- but he's a champ.. or a "rockstar" as Ry says. *L* He only ran after him a few times around the track just to make sure he had the hang of it... but our boy is a shining star. ;) He was hurtin' when we got home the other night, just sore from riding for 4 or 5 hours. But the next morning was ready to go again, so we'll see where this takes us!!!

Well, that's about it for now. I'm going to get back to work here and try to get something accomplished. Man it feels like a friday.... :P

Quickie update!

Just wanted to tell you all - Dommie is doing fine! They started to do surgery on him yesterday about 2pm but instead of the resistance they got on Saturday the cath went all the way in! They drained his bladder, put air in it, took another exray and found.... nothing! So we're thinking the first cath broke up the stone! All is looking good - my poor pup came home and slept most of the evening... and was peeing like a champ this morning. ;) Not 100% but lots better than before and without the "MooooooooooooooooooooooM!" look!!

Today is another 'down' day here- I ended up playing Pogo alot last night with Dommie at my feel and then laying in bed talking to a friend while I cut some scrap papers for cards. My acrylic wall hanging is still sitting on my desk... but I'm getting there. ;) maybe tonight......

Also today I've just realized that the October scrappin' retreat is in no time at all!!! Like 2 months and 2 weeks. I know it's a little to soon to start planning- but it's always something fun to look forward to! :)

Usually don't hear those two things together, do you?! Well, I got a great sleep last night and was up all crazy early and couldn't figure out why.... yeah well... 9 pm bed times will do that to ya. ;) But as always when I wake up and sit around I wasn't quite ready to come to work when the time came. But I did it! Got here a few minutes late but here none the less. *L*





My bad news from the weekend is my puppy Dommie is sick. (ok, he's not quite so puppy/baby- but the youngest therefore is keeping the title!) After a vet appt on Saturday we're being told they think it's kidney stones. :( And told us that those are prone in Dalmations- which I didn't know. So he's back at the vet again today to see if they can help him out- after the few days of meds he seems like he's doing a bit better, so keep your fingers crossed for my pup please!!





Also I wanted to share a picture that I took of Ry. I love this picture- I dare say it's one of my favorites and I think we're going to frame it for our picture wall. :) (ok, I don't HAVE a pictures wall yet. But it looks REALLY good in my mind... I'm getting there. Really. :P

Isn't he cute? :) Just makes my heart melt!!!

What doesn't make my heart melt is the big hole in the side of my house... but he's working on it and it's ok, right? ;)
